Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for families to grow and thrive. We are committed to creating inclusive play, recreation, and sport opportunities for children and young adults with and without disabilities. We aim to foster environments where every child can engage, grow, and reach their full potential. Through our adaptive special needs programming, we dedicate ourselves to educating communities on the transformative power of play, recreation, and leisure. By connecting children to activities they love, we aim to enrich lives and empower children and young adults, building a more inclusive world.
Our History
Founded in 2024, Ability Kids emerged from the passion of athletes Delfina has collaborated with throughout her career. With extensive experience in Behavior and Recreation Therapy, Delfina has dedicated herself to empowering children with disabilities through fully inclusive programs. Watching her athletes develop their skills and abilities has become her motivation to educate her community the value inclusive play, recreation, and sports programming have on overall growth and development for all. She has been serving families, both with and without disabilities, for over 30 years. What began as a small inclusive summer camp, on the campus of California State University Northridge has become a beacon of light to showcase what was once thought impossible. We look forward to expanding our adaptive programming and sharing our mission with communities across California, the United States, and around the world.

At Ability Kids, our adaptive developmental education programs provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow, especially for children with disabilities. We offer comprehensive curriculum through one-on-one coaching or small group classes that support cognitive, social, physical, emotional, and creative development.
